SPOTLIGHT ON MARIAN!

Marian is our resident Green Herbalist. In addition to her ongoing series of herbalism classes at Chrysalis Heart Center, Marian is the proprietor of Cat's Tail Farm.  CatsTailFarm@rochester.rr.com

Marian is starting her own  Apprentice programs at Cat's Tail Farm. These will include practical methods, hands on practice, as well as Marian's spiritual and loving approach to the Green Nation.

Marian says:

"Cats Tail Farm is a small nature preserve where my husband and I sustainably propagate, cultivate, and ecologically wildcraft many varieties of botanicals. I have received extensive training as a herbalist in the Wise Woman Tradition, serving as an apprentice to Rosemary Gladstar of Barre, Vermont. It is my mission to share with others that an Earth centered path is a key to restoring our long forgotten relationship with Nature, and how the plants themselves offer their healing gifts to those who seek them. To enable this, classes such as botanical field identification, co-creative gardening, and herbal wisdom are planned. As a supporter of United Plant Savers, the necessity of protecting “At-Risk and Endangered Medicinal Plants” is also stressed in my educational presentations. I also am available for medicinal plant and weed forays for groups upon request."

Marian has given many educational presentations to garden clubs, educational institutions, and professional organizations, including the Western New York Botanical Society and Heartwood Wilderness School.
